Sections of the society work to produce articles for local publications or the occasional Heritage Group publication and take part in the archiving or our vast photographic collection. An unincorporated association and a registered charity, UTASS is managed by local people for local people. Our dedicated team of seven project staff, mainly part time plus volunteers provide a wide range of support services to communities in Teesdale and we specialise in agricultural matters.

Teesdale Sailing Club
Do you want to try your hand at sailing but think its costly, cliquey, or simply out of your league? Then think again. Teesdale Sailing Club Ltd annual mambership is only £45.00, a lot
less than golf club or gym membership. Have experience but no boat, we have several club boats for hire by members: GP14, Toppers, Miracle and shortly we hope to acquire a Peco. No experience, no boat, no problem. Learn the ropes crewing for those with dinghies; there is often a berth for a willing hand.

Only have time for occasional sailing or just here for a holiday? Ask about our day membership; includes club boat use and insurance cover.

Come to Grassholme and enjoy the glorious sailing. Sundays Apr-Oct 11am.
